A song of appearance emptiness

Rinpoche is very well and many students are visiting him at Tek Chok Ling nunnery.

Rinpoche wanted to share the following song with you:

The song of appearance emptiness which is self-arisen and self-liberated

All appearances are self-arisen and self-liberated,
All emptiness is self-arisen and self-liberated,
When you realize the essential meaning of appearance emptiness as self-arisen and self-liberated,
All phenomena are self-arisen and self-liberated.

While singing vajra songs and dancing vajra dances,
When all thoughts and fabrications are ceased,
Let your mind rest in the state free from fabrications.
E MA how amazing - this wonderful Dharma!

Rinpoche's Birthday Celebration

On March 1, the nuns from Tek Chok Ling and some westerners celebrated Khenpo Rinpoche's 76. birthday.

Losar la tashi delek

Khenpo Rinpoche wishes you all a happy New Year and Rinpoche would like to share the following with you:

"As the light of this New Year blazes
With excellent virtue and happiness
May these dependently arising appearances inseparable from emptiness,
Bring benefit and prosperity in all the worlds there are,
May the light of auspiciousness always blaze bright"

Composed་by Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche at Tek Chok Ling near the great stupa in Boudhanath, Nepal, February 2010. Translated by Jim Scott.

Khenpo Rinpoche is in good health. He often enjoys sitting outside in front of the stupa of the nunnery or taking a walk on the upper floor.

Many students are coming to Tek Chok Ling to visit him and Rinpoche is giving blessings almost every day.

Every Wednesday morning a group of students who are currently taking classes at Pullahari monastery comes to the nunnery and sings vajra songs for Rinpoche.

At one of the occasions, Rinpoche composed the following:

A Song of the Equality of Appearances and Emptiness
Not to know the equality of appearance emptiness
And get attached to appearances alone is delusion
But to get attached to emptiness alone is delusion too
If you know the equality of appearance emptiness
There's no need to get caught up in or give up phenomena
These appearances and emptiness
What you must do is to rest in the spaciousness
Of the equality of appearance emptiness.

Composed by Dechen Rangdrol at Tek Chok Ling, Nepal, February, 04, 2010. Translated and arranged by Jim Scott.

New Year's Greetings from Khenpo Rinpoche

Khenpo Rinpoche is very healthy and is enjoying his stay at Tek Chok Ling. A few times each day Rinpoche takes a walk in the nunnery and Rinpoche also really enjoys watching the young nuns performing Tara dance.

Last month Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche visisted Khenpo Rinpoche with a group of students from Taiwan and Hongkong. (http://www.nalandabodhi.org/teachers/rinpoche-visits-his-guru-in-nepal.aspx)

Currently Acharya Lama Tenpa Gyaltsen is visiting from Boulder, USA. Lama Tenpa and some students from various countries have been visiting Khenpo Rinpoche every morning to offer him songs and dances. Khenpo Rinpoche seems to enjoy this and has asked the students again and again to sing and dance. On some days Khenpo Rinpoche has given short teachings and instructions to the students.

Lama Tenpa asked Khenpo Rinpoche if he would give a New Year message for his students for 2010. Khenpo Rinpoche gave the following message:

"In this new year of 2010 engage in unelaborated vajra songs and dances-
May the vajra songs and dances increase within non-fabrication!"

On New Year's evening, a group of Russian students from the Mind's World made an offering of performing part of Milarepa's life story. They also made a light offering and the courtyard of the monastery was lighted with 1000 butterlamps and the full moon was shining on the sky. Khenpo Rinpoche was watching from the upper floor and enjoyed the play.
